Inspector to join our dynamic team!
As a Building Safety Inspector, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that our high-rise and higher-risk buildings remain
compliant with the Building Safety Act. You'll be at the heart of a proactive team, working alongside residents, contractors, and
internal teams to uphold the highest safety standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Be the safety champion – Conduct essential fire safety and compliance inspections, including fire alarm tests, emergency
lighting checks, and fire door assessments.
* Proactively identify risks – Act as the “eyes and ears” of our estates, addressing structural and fire safety concerns before
they become issues.
* Collaborate with key teams – Work closely with maintenance, housing, and fire safety teams to ensure all buildings are up to
standard.
* Lead compliance efforts – Support the implementation of fire risk assessments (FRAs), ensuring timely completion of
recommendations and compliance actions.
* Provide expert guidance – Advise colleagues, tenants, and leadership teams on fire safety strategies, emergency evacuation
plans, and building safety legislation.
* Drive best practices – Engage with external regulatory bodies, including Building Control and the Fire Service, to stay ahead
of safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
* HNC/D in a building-related subject or equivalent experience in surveying or fire compliance.
* Level 5 Diploma in Fire Safety and Risk Management or equivalent.
* Strong understanding of fire safety regulations, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
* Experience conducting compliance inspections and implementing safety action plans.
* Knowledge of passive and active fire protection and their maintenance requirements.
* Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and with external regulatory bodies.
Interview Process:
* Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of a competency-based interview.
