What You’ll Do Train and provide guidance to cleaning staff on cleaning techniques, use of equipment, and adherence to safety protocols. Assign cleaning duties, inspect work areas regularly to ensure cleanliness, and report any issues to the appropriate department. Monitor and maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies, equipment, and other related materials. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with sanitation and safety guidelines. Perform administrative duties, including scheduling, attendance management, performance evaluations, and handling personnel matters. Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, to address specialised cleaning needs and resolve any facility-related issues promptly. Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise efficiency and productivity while maintaining a high level of cleanliness. Provide excellent customer service to staff, students, and visitors, responding promptly and effectively to cleanliness-related concerns or inquiries. What You Bring Proven experience as a cleaning chargehand, preferably in an educational or institutional setting. Solid knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices, equipment, and chemicals. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Excellent organisational and time-management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are needed to effectively interact with staff, students, and visitors.
