May I also add that the office you'll be working with has out-of-this-world facilities, is easily accessible from Manchester City Centre, and has free parking Role Title - Junior Buyer Salary - Up to £32,000 Location - Stockport Hours - 09:00 - 17:30 Job Type - Permanent, Fully On-Site Key Accountabilities Procurement Negotiation: Source and negotiate procurement from the UK and Europe. Daily Meetings: Attend daily procurement update meetings to communicate upcoming deliveries. Product Assessment: Assess and source high-quality products and supplies. Supplier Management: Ensure supplier conformance by managing and monitoring the supply of materials against requirements and quality standards. Operational Impact: Understand the impact on operations and minimize re-work at the point of receipt. Invoicing Procedures: Monitor invoicing procedures, highlighting variances and discrepancies in conjunction with the Accounts Team. Cost Negotiation: Negotiate material costs, payment terms, and carriage to optimize cost and quality. Documentation : Record and update documents, systems, and registers with accurate product information and data. Market Understanding: Maintain a good understanding of the marketplace, particularly competitor performance. Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor top and bottom-performing lines and take action to maximize benefits. Production Processes: Understand production processes and their impact on purchasing decisions. Cost Savings: Identify and deliver cost savings. Rate Negotiation: Secure the best rates for each commodity and development. Reporting : Accurately report cost changes in line with budget and timescales. Process Delivery: Deliver buying processes within agreed timescales and targets as determined by the business. Quality Monitoring: Monitor material quality and supplier performance against agreed standards, providing effective and timely feedback. Data Management: Maintain all data on appropriate systems and documentation accurately and within agreed timescales.
