Production Operative £12.11 Per Hour Shift Allowance Rotating Shifts (Days Nights) Haslingden Production Operative Skills, Experience, and education required: Previous experience as a Production Operative within a fast-paced environment FLT experience (Desirable) Ability to lift and carry 20kg. Ability to work individually and as part of a team. Production Operative Key Responsibilities and Duties: To load the accessories machines; loading wood and metals. To manage pins and nails; loading pins and nails into the machine and monitoring how the machine runs. Including the lifting of pin and nail boxes to 20kg. To saw metals and apply adhesive tapes. To pick and pack, packing accessories into boxes and the palletisation of those boxes. To operate FLT’s. To sort raw materials as they come into the department. To ensure efficient start-up at the beginning of each week and run out at the end of each week. Responsible for escalation of breakdown to Line Leader/Shift Manager. To ensure all resources or available to ensure efficient process changes. To adhere to production schedule. To identify and report early warning signs for faults. To adhere to agreed quality standards in both product and packaging. Responsible for ensuring that quality assurance (weight and gauge) checks are regularly undertaken in accordance with quality procedures and accurately recorded on the data capture. To Alert Manager if quality requirements or not met. To maintain line speeds as a minimum and where possible increase line speeds. Responsible for ensuring all waste is disposed of in the correct manner (Recyclable materials sorted, scrap materials etc.) to reduce waste were possible. To fully comply with all company Health and Safety regulations. To ensure that you wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). To ensure you maintain agreed standards of housekeeping and ensure areas are kept clear from obstruction and pedestrian areas are kept clear from slipping/tripping hazards
