Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, with responsibilities that include monitoring surveillance systems, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise.
Duties
* Monitor and operate CCTV systems to ensure effective surveillance of the premises.
* Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
* Implement loss prevention strategies to safeguard company assets and reduce theft.
* Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations in a security log.
* Collaborate with local law enforcement when required and assist in investigations as needed.
* Ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures while promoting a culture of safety.
Requirements
* Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not essential.
* Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and surveillance systems (CCTV) is advantageous.
* First aid certification is desirable; training may be provided for the right candidate.
* Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with staff and visitors.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by the role.
