Our client is an Energy trading business, which forms part of a wider integrated Energy group.
As a key function of the energy Trading team, Trading Operations plan, execute and monitor all trading activity making sure that all safety requirements and the 3C’s obligations are met; Contractual, Compliance and Commercial.
The Data Integrity and Performance Lead oversees front to back-office systems to ensure they are fit for purpose and that valuable data and information entered by operations or external systems is entered and maps correctly.
The lead oversees and will reconcile mapping errors, working to identify the root cause and make system changes to maximize STP to allow effective management and oversight of the deal lifecycle. Automation of processes will be an exciting performance measure.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Responsible as Data Owner for key transactional data in Trayport, EEX, ICE and NYMEX.
* Maintain parameters and updates in systems of record in advance of new products and trades (new trading products, mapping new counterparties etc).
* Interact with key counterparts to ensure deal capture, including intraday reconciliations to ICE, EEX, Trayport and NYMEX are accurate.
* Audit automated STP deals in trading systems to validate they are flowing accurately and timely.
* Address alerts for failed STP deals and work resolution to booking with operations.
* Identify areas for STP, automation and digital innovation.
* Support Trade Control and Doc Admin in maintaining a document repository of all agreed trade contracts, broker agreements and fees.
* Conduct root cause investigations into any operational events as directed.
* Identify areas for standardisation, simplification or automation within the Energy Group.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIRED:
* Minimum of 5 years within a Trading organisation.
* Experience in running automation and STP projects of data from multiple systems.
* Experience in construction of data lakes and developing Data integrity governance.
* Failure with trading deal life cycles.
* Ability to lead using AGILE principles.
* Able to build the infrastructure to allow data to flow from one system to another.
* Ability to conduct Root cause analysis e.g. logic tree, fish bone, 5Why or other incident training.
