Role
Reporting to the Design Managers this role provides an excellent opportunity to join the long established Bourne Group Ltd with a proven (75+ yr) track record in providing excellent solutions to the construction industry.
We are looking for a Document Controller to work within Engineering, taking ownership of the Document Control function for allocated projects through accurate processing and coordination via document control systems in Bourne Engineering.
Your day-to-day activities will involve operating a variety of different document database systems, both internal and external, as dictated by project requirements. The emphasis in this area is on timeliness and accuracy.
You will manage the flow of drawings and information and disseminate to the project teams as and when required.
You will:
* Manage & coordinate all project systems through the receipt of and checking or downloading client information and distributing to the appropriate Bourne Engineering team members in a suitable timeframe, to suit the individual project requirements.
* Undertake general office administration in Bourne Group and other tasks as reasonably required by the Bourne Engineering management team.

The role is office based in our Head Office in Poole.
Whilst previous experience of document control would be advantageous, full training will be provided. The essential candidate criteria are as follows:
* Ability to understand existing technologies and processes to produce technological solutions or ideas which provide business efficiencies
* Good multitasking and organisation skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
* A self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative and a can-do approach to teamwork
* Excellent communication skills in writing, over the phone and face to face
* Good computer literacy including database understanding and input, Word, producing spreadsheets in Excel.
* Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail
* Time Management skills
* Ability to maintain and provide regular updates on a diverse range of tasks
* Ability to recognise and deliver continual improvements to processes and procedures through the use of technology or other means
