Join our Birmingham team! Seeking a solicitor with 2+ years PQE in environmental law to tackle diverse challenges and support our dynamic practice led by Rob Biddlecombe.
The role
We are looking for a solicitor specialising in environmental law to be based in our Birmingham office. Our environmental practice is led by Rob Biddlecombe. The role will cover the full range of environmental work including contaminated land, water pollution, environmental permits, trade effluent consents, waste management, control of asbestos, packaging producer responsibility, waste electrical and electronic equipment, flood risk, invasive species, minimum energy efficiency standards, environmental reporting, fire safety and health and safety.
The work will include advising clients on stand-alone environmental matters and also supporting colleagues in real estate, corporate and other teams on transactional matters and due diligence.
The person
You will have 2+ years PQE in environmental law, gained in private practice in a London or large regional firm. The work will generally be non-contentious, but experience of contentious environmental law would be advantageous.

* Degree and A levels or equivalent
* Technically sound
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent written English and ability to produce clear, logical drafting
* Numeracy

* Good research skills, including an ability to use online information sources
* Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills
* Enthusiasm towards building and strengthening relationships with clients and their advisors
