We are seeking a passionate and skilled Fundraising Grants Officer to contribute to our mission by securing vital funding from trusts, foundations, and institutional donors. As the Fundraising Grants Officer, you'll be pivotal in expanding our financial support base. Your role involves researching potential donors, crafting compelling grant proposals, and fostering relationships with existing supporters. This position offers a unique opportunity for someone with a fundraising background who is eager to make a meaningful impact.

Location and Transport: For this role, although Hatfield will be your base, you can predominantly work remotely (unless you want to work collaboratively on site). There will be some travel to sites across Herts, Beds, Bucks to accompany potential funders on site visits, and you will need access to your own vehicle with business insurance (usually a cheap add-on from your insurer).
Hours: You'll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday; however, we are willing to provide flexible working arrangements, including compressed hours and part-time work.
The Role:
1. Be responsible for Trust and Grant Fundraising Income targets.
2. Develop and maintain potential and actual funding relationships with trusts & foundations.
3. Research, identify, produce and submit high-quality bids. Co-ordinate grant monitoring including making claims and providing feedback reports.
4. Develop financial and descriptive collateral for use in bids.
5. Manage a portfolio of existing and potential trust & foundation funders across a multi-faceted income-generating stream, to provide exceptional supporter care and delivery of successful partnerships.
6. Work alongside the MCF team to create, plan, promote and attend fundraising challenge events, including a volunteer support crew.
7. Work with Manager and the marketing division to maximise reach, engagement, and revenue generation on all fundraising campaigns and events.
8. Work as a team towards achieving the agreed Key Performance Indicators and performance objectives, including a current team target of circa £1.5m unrestricted income.
9. Ensure a high level of service is always provided, assuring an unbeatable and magnetic force of attraction.
