Datacenter Technician
Job Responsibilities:
* Prepare, stage, set up, and manage the startup and shutdown of equipment (eg, racks, hard drives, Switches) by following detailed instructions, checklists, guides, standard protocols, and emails.
* Perform quality checks after execution to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling in line with safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using standard procedures, quickly identify the root causes, and replace faulty components.
* Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes (eg, memory upgrades, OS rebuilds) by following standard procedures with minimal supervision.
* Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to the appropriate Datacenter Technician Leads as per procedures.
Requirements:
* Basic knowledge of computer hardware, Servers, and components.
* At least 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
* Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, within core business hours between 7 AM and 7 PM.
