As a Lead Sensors & Communications Engineer you’ll create innovative solutions which help Roke’s National Security customers complete their missions. This will involve designing architecture whilst leading a team of multi disciplined engineers to implement and deliver solutions. You’ll work directly with Roke’s National Security customers and other stakeholders to gather requirements, validate solutions and ensure success in mission critical environments.

The Key Requirements...
You should be able to demonstrate experience in some (not all) of the below areas:
1. Full system design (from antenna to GUI)
2. Embedded software: C/C++, MATLAB, Python, RT Linux
3. FPGA and VHDL/Verilog
4. Understanding/experience in 5G protocols
5. Familiarity with other comms protocols: 2G/GSM, 4G/5G LTE L1 PHY/L2
6. CommEx system engineering
7. Array Processing
8. RF knowledge/skills
Experience with the above, alongside your technical and team leadership experience will be a necessity to ensure success in the role.

You’ll find our Romsey site located within beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to the picturesque New Forest District and not far from a superb stretch of the south coast. This is no corporate concrete jungle; this is a manor house site, with ample parking an on-site gym and a driveway full of daffodils in the spring.
