Assist in the provision of an effective paediatric emergency medicine service at the University Hospital of North Tees. Provide emergency treatment to patients attending the paediatric emergency department and liaise with specialties. Assist and guide junior doctors in emergency medicine and paediatrics working within CYPED. To liaise with the shop floor/on-call consultant for clinical and administrative advice as appropriate. Responsible for undertaking the administrative duties associated with the care of patients. Work co-operatively with colleagues and to respect their contribution to patient care. Ensure accurate recording of patient care episodes and outcomes as well as effective communication with nursing and professional staff in relation to patient care. Undertake mandatory training as directed. Any other duties which may be required from time to time.
