Overview: We are looking for a motivated and technically inclined Apprentice Cyber Security Engineer to join our growing team. You will be part of a team who help us to keep doing business the right way, keeping Appetite one of the Sunday Times Best Places to work and a proud B-Corp too The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the security of our customers M365 tenant and endpoints while also supporting day-to-day infrastructure operations and Microsoft 365 administration. This is an ideal opportunity for someone eager to develop their skills and to proactively learn in the area of cybersecurity and IM365 support. Duties include: Cybersecurity Tasks: Assist in monitoring security alerts and logs to identify potential threats. Help implement security policies and ensure compliance with company standards. Support the analysis and remediation of security incidents. Stay current with emerging cyber threats and recommend relevant improvements. Infrastructure and M365 Support: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Microsoft 365. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to user access, email systems, and collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams, etc.). Assist with hardware and software installations, updates, and patches. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth operational performance across all systems. What you will need: Secondary Education (Higher level) A fundamental understanding of the concepts behind Cyber Security and understanding of M365 in general. Key skills and attributes: Interest in developing a career in cybersecurity and technology. Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN). Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration. Excellent communication skills. A self starter but also the ability to work as part of a team. Willingness and enthusiasm to learn and adapt to new technologies and security protocols. Working week: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, 37.5 hours a week. Salary: £16,000 - £18,000 per annum.
