About the Role: As a Graduate Teaching Assistant (SEN), you will help students with various needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Working alongside class teachers and SENCOs, you’ll support each student’s individual learning journey. Key Responsibilities of a Graduate Teaching Assistant (SEN): Provide one-to-one or small-group support to students with SEN. Assist the teacher in delivering lessons that cater to all students. Help students build confidence and achieve their learning goals. Foster a positive, inclusive environment for all students. Monitor progress and share feedback with teachers and parents. Support students during breaks, lunch, and transitions. What We’re Looking For in a candidate for Graduate Teaching Assistant (SEN): A degree in psychology, education, child development, or a related field (or equivalent). Experience working with children or young people, preferably in education or care. A passion for supporting students with SEN. Understanding of autism, ADHD, and other SEN conditions. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents. Ability to work well as part of a team.
