● Ensure the delivery of high-quality care to children and young people, tailored to their individual needs and care plans.
● Foster a safe, positive, and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
● Oversee the development and implementation of personalised care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
● Liaise with social workers, families, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care.
3. Compliance and Safeguarding
● Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including Ofsted requirements.
● Implement and monitor safeguarding policies and procedures to protect children from harm.
● Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.
● Prepare for and participate in inspections and audits, addressing any areas for improvement.
● There will be a requirement for you to take on a champion role.
4. Continuous Improvement
● Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
● Stay updated with best practices, research, and developments in the field of children's care.
● Participate in training, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
5. Qualifications and Experience
● While specific qualifications may vary, having a qualification in health and social care (such as an QCF, NVQ or diploma) is often required or preferred.
● Previous experience working with children, particularly those with emotional and behavioural difficulties, is highly valued.
● Strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
● Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and external stakeholders.
● Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
● Commitment to promoting the rights and well-being of children and young people.
