Metroline Manchester is a recently formed subsidiary of ComfortDelGro. In March 2024, we were awarded contracts to operate four franchises and join the Bee Network in Greater Manchester by Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). Metroline was formed in 1989 and is the fourth largest bus operator in London, running about 17 percent of the city’s scheduled bus services. We have been a part of the largest private land transport company, Comfort Del Gro, since 2000. Job Summary
Pay: £16.37 – £17 per hour (increased rate for weekends & BH)
Locations: Wythenshawe, Sharston and Hyde Road

Metroline drivers pride themselves on taking care of our passenger journeys in the safest manner by ensuring we follow all the required rules and protocols at any given time.
Responsibilities
1. Ensuring your bus is kept in a clean and roadworthy condition.
2. Driving in a safe manner in accordance with current road and traffic legislation whilst executing challenging manoeuvres.
3. Delivering an exceptional level of customer service with a can-do attitude and positive approach.
4. Maintaining the highest levels of professionalism whilst ensuring smooth and safe transportation for our diverse range of passengers.
5. Collaborating with the wider team and support functions to exceed performance targets.
6. Working closely with the management team to target any malfunctions or improvements where possible.
7. Free bus travel for yourself + 3 (companion + 2 children OR 3 children).

Hours of Work
Full-time permanent contract 38 hours per week – 5 working days a week
Shift work – flexibility required to work early starts, late finishes, and weekends.
