ATA is supporting a large manufacturing group who are looking to add an experienced line maintenance technician to their team. With over 200 years of experience, this group has a well-established history of delivering sustainable packaging products to various industries, including Food, Beverage, Retail and E-commerce. The group are a true global leader within their field, operating across 40 plants in 17 countries, employ over 6,000 staff and turnover an impressive £2 billion.
This site in Leicestershire has been at the heart of the community for over 40 years with many employees being at the site for nearly its full tenure, including the plant manager who started on the shop floor. The site has always offered a great place to work and with investment plans on the horizon, it will soon become the group's UK flagship site.
About the role
Due to the efficient nature of the site, the role is focused on the operation of machinery (90%) used in the manufacturing of packaged products, while also reacting to breakdowns and resolving machining and process problems (10%).
Responsibilities of a line maintenance technician include:
* Making process and tooling adjustments.
* Fault finding and reacting to breakdowns.
* Strip and rebuild of mechanical systems including hydraulics and pneumatics.
* Product quality checks and quality reporting.
About you
To be considered for this line maintenance technician role, you should have the following:
* Strong mechanical knowledge and practical experience.
* Experience maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment.
* Ideally, you would have completed a mechanical/maintenance engineering apprenticeship.
