Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time to join our Norfolk youth team for Prospects, part of Shaw Trust Youth. The role is based in Kings Lynn and West Norfolk supporting young people, aged 14-18 who are at risk of statutory intervention. Our Youth Workers have autonomy and flexibility to provide the right support to young people and help them make sustainable progress. Joining as an integral member of the Youth Early Support Service, you will have the opportunity to make a difference for young people helping them realise their potential. Our Youth Support Workers operate in schools and in the community. If you want to make a difference and you hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Youth Work (or equivalent) then this just might be for you!
We are very keen to appoint a passionate and caring individual to join our dedicated and supportive team. Due to this, we can be flexible and would consider less days / job share, term-time only or flexible hours / days / weeks. Essential:
You will have:
1. Relevant professional qualification e.g. L3 in Youth and Community Work, Health and Social Care or allied occupation
2. Significant experience of working directly with young people aged 13 – 19 in formal or informal settings involving assessment of needs and implementation of interventions to overcome barriers
3. Experience of using a range of approaches to engage, establish and maintain relationships with young people
