As Finance Manager, you will manage the hotel’s day-to-day accounting function, providing financial leadership to the business and clear structure and direction to the Finance team. Primary responsibilities include preparation and analysis of the financial reports and reconciliations, internal and external reporting, budgeting/forecasting, audit and control, asset and liability reconciliation, working capital and cash control.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
1. Provides on going analytical support, monitoring the operating department’s actual and projected sales and profit and coaches management team to ensure financial goals are met and opportunities are identified and addressed
2. Maintains a strong accounting & operational control environment to safeguard assets improve operations and profitability and manage business risks
3. Produces accurate forecasts that enable operations to react to changes in the business
4. Reconciles balance sheet and ensures account balances are current and supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with SOPs
5. Facilitates P&L critique meetings to review results with management team
6. Manages internal, external and regulatory audit processes and ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), verifying that hotel policies are administered fairly and consistently
7. Effectively manages the day to day operation of Accounting to execute finance and accounting responsibilities for the property
8. Provides analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost saving and productivity opportunities
9. Verifies that the P&L is accurate (., costs are properly matched to revenue, costs are recorded in the proper accounts) and statements are delivered to appropriate individuals in a timely manner
10. Assist the General Manager and in developing the annual business plan, budgets, forecasts, financial reports, tax compliance, and profit and loss statements
11. Assist other departments, wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships within the whole hotel
12. Recruit, train and develop finance team members and support in developing our next finance manager
13. Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
Our Ideal Candidate:
You will have an accounting qualification and a proven track record in a similar role within a hotel environment along with experience in coaching and developing team members, driving sales and delivering financial results. Operational experience would be an advantage but not essential.
You will have a warm people orientated demeanour, a gift for paying attention to the smallest details and a positive outlook and outgoing personality.

This role offers an annual salary of £32,000 along with an annual bonus plan allowing you to earn up to 20% of your salary.
