Fabric Supervisor - Romford - £45,000

Salary: £45,000 + Plenty of Overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday Days 8AM – 5PM
My client, who has built their reputation for over 40 years, is looking for a Fabric Supervisor to join their Reactive and Planned Maintenance Team based in Romford, Essex. The role involves overseeing and managing the day-to-day activities of the Fabric Team and fabric-related sub-contractors. This includes the generation of proposals and supervision from inception to completion of minor and extra works, ensuring that reactive, minor, and extra works are completed to a high standard and within service level agreements.
Duties:
1. Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building fabric, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
2. Manage various fabric and grounds duties including, but not limited to, general fabric repairs, general carpentry, general plumbing repairs & blockages, painting and floor repairs, furniture repairs, tiling jobs, plastering, and repairs.
3. Ensure all relevant maintenance records are kept to a comprehensive and high standard and all reactive Work Order paperwork is completed.
4. Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the site.
5. Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
6. Develop a good working relationship with all members of the staff, client's staff, and all users of the building.
7. Work independently and within a team.
8. Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures, and working arrangements, as required.
9. Ensure a professional image is presented to clients and visitors, and ensure excellence in customer service is always delivered and promoted.
10. Maintain professional and technical skills through a commitment to personal development and lifelong learning.
11. Ensure the site is operated in accordance with local legislation.
Requirements:
1. Technical building knowledge of working methods, practices, processes, regulations, and legislation.
2. Be the technical expert for all works associated with the contract and able to provide solutions.
3. Able to use MS Office software and internal IT systems (with training).
4. Be able to self-manage, motivate the team, and overcome problems.
5. 3 years’ experience managing/supervising or maintenance repairs.
6. 5+ years’ experience working within a relevant trade (essential).
7. Experience working on commercial buildings.
