Field Service Engineer (M/F/D)
The Opportunity:
Are you a skilled and customer-focused professional with a passion for technical excellence? Avantor is looking for a dynamic Field Service Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom.
Location: Newcastle, Northeast England - travel UK-wide.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be essential in ensuring the optimal performance of laboratory equipment. Your duties will include installation, preventative maintenance, repairs, and calibrations, all delivered efficiently and promptly.
What We’re Looking For:
* Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Experience: Intermediate experience in maintaining and repairing professional or industrial equipment.
* Skills: Familiarity with SAP and proficiency in Excel (including V-lookup).
* Language: Fluent in English.
* License: Full clean driving license.
* Attributes: Flexible, enjoys challenges, and prioritizes exceptional customer service.
How You Can Make a Difference:
* Conduct on-site preventive maintenance, calibrations, and repairs of laboratory devices.
* Advise customers on necessary work and required parts.
* Perform on-site interventions on lab equipment.
* Conduct validations on lab equipment.
* Provide technical training to customers.
