Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and cook high-quality meals under the guidance of the Sous Chef and Head Chef, focusing on nutrition and taste
2. Take responsibility for a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and in a timely manner
3. Assist in the creation and execution of diverse, balanced menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of athletes
4. Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish
5. Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen, ensuring a clean and safe working environment
6. Work closely with other kitchen staff, contributing to a positive and productive team atmosphere
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a similar role
2. Culinary Arts degree or equivalent professional qualification is preferred
3. Proficiency in a range of cooking techniques and styles
4. Strong organisational and time management skills
5. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
6. Good communication and teamwork abilities
7. Passion for cooking and a commitment to high culinary standards
8. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
9. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
