Role: Health Coach
Location: Boston, Lincolnshire
Contract: Permanent
This is a hybrid role requiring the post holder to cover offices in Boston and Sleaord with potential travel to Grantham and Stamford.
Essential Qualifications
* Allied health background or an equivalent qualification in behavioural or health sciences as recognised by an appropriate professional body
* An Occupational Therapist, registered with HCPC
* An accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist registered with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)
* Mental Health Nurse, registered with NMC
* Clinical psychologist, behavioural science registered with HCPC
* Post graduate studies in occupational health, employability or disability management
Main Responsibilities
* Provide wellbeing advice and guidance to Employment Coaches to support participants on their journey to sustainable employment
* Work alongside employment advisors to identify specific health barriers and provide advice and guidance to help participants address these barriers to work
* Support line managers to identify employment advisors that need additional health and wellbeing support with their participants
* Develop training to upskill employment advisors around mental and physical health conditions
* Promote and support the safeguarding of participants and provide guidance on the escalation process
* Support the emotional wellbeing of employment advisors through debriefing after incidents/crisis
* Give guidance on how to maintain the wellbeing of participants when re-entering into work/in-work support to sustain employment
* Participate in conference calls with employment advisors and participants/employers to give direct advice and guidance
* Organise, facilitate, and deliver core and specialist individual interventions under a bio-psycho-social approach
* Establish programmers to deliver effective health and wellbeing support working as an integrated member of local teams
* Produce accurate and timely reports on activity and performance as required
Essential Experience
* Delivering behaviour change interventions for specific lifestyle related issues
* Supporting those with health conditions back to work rehabilitation/occupation health
* Relevant health and wellbeing clinical experience
* Understanding of cognitive behavioural techniques and experience applying them in practice
* Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds
* Practical experience in accessing external support services and well-developed networking skills
