Would you like to join our admin team, who provide support to the Core Clinical Staff in the Derby City Integrated Community Service?
If so, we are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic administrator to join our team!
Part time, 20 hours - 4 x days of 5 hours, Monday-Friday. Shift patterns to be discussed.
The role involves a variety of administrative tasks supporting the function of Integrated Community Services. You will be providing support to the Core community teams all based at Coleman Health Centre.
We will support staff who are not experienced in administration, or who would like a new opportunity to learn more, or start their career within the NHS. Any external candidates advised to call for further information.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Team.
2. Undertake administrative duties including word processing, excel, data entry, photocopying, and filing both electronic and paper-based documents.
3. Provide first contact via telephone for queries, respond to day to day enquiries and maintain an efficient message taking system.
4. Assist with archiving activities and filing updates e.g. staff personal files, patients electronic records etc.
5. Enter and extract data from DCHS systems as needed.
6. Be responsible for the ordering and stock management of dressings for dressing hubs and goods via the NHS Supply Chain - also an element of moving and handling goods.
7. Lead on various audits ensuring governance and standards are maintained.
8. Process unassigned tasks on the SystmOne unit.
9. Travel daily between various sites if required.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.
During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.

Person Specification
Education, Qualifications and Training
* Educated to GCSE level at C / level 4 or above (English) or Equivalent.
Skills and Attributes
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to organise and prioritise.
* Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
* Excellent telephone skills and manner.
* Sound level of IT competency in using Microsoft Office packages.
Experience and Knowledge Required
* Experience of working in a role which has involved time management and diary management skills.
* Recent and relevant experience of working in a busy office environment.
* Experience of team working and versatility to take on a variety of tasks.
* Knowledge of confidentiality issues and Caldicott principles.
* Experience of using ESR and ePay.
* Awareness of Health and Social Care sector.
Other
* Ability to travel to any site where DCHS services are provided.
