Description Grade 11- per annum £62,748 - £69,579 pa Public Health Principal (Live Well) – (Live Well) London Borough of Havering Contract: Permanent 36hrs About the Role As a Public Health Principal, you will be responsible for planning, managing and leading a portfolio of Public Health work, aligned to the “Live Well” (adults) life stage. You will apply expert and advanced knowledge of public health to deliver complex public health programmes, influencing policy and practice across a diverse and varied work area. You will guide and advise Council and NHS colleagues’, elected members, other partners and relevant partnership boards in decision making based on sound public health knowledge and evidence. You will participate as a member of the Public Health Senior Management Team, leading efforts to continuously improve the capacity and capability of the Public Health service. You will have line management responsibility for members of the Public Health team, and will take the lead in shaping and supporting their professional development.. About You With a passion for improving population health and wellbeing using evidence-based approaches, you will be enthusiastic about building and working in partnership with stakeholders and communities across Havering. You should have a Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Policy or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. You should have a commitment to continued professional development, including an intention to work towards specialist UKPHR registration via the portfolio route. You will be skilled and confident in key public health skills, with significant experience of working autonomously to lead and deliver more than one programme of work simultaneously.
