Specific Responsibilities: The Prax Group is currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Financial Accountant – Downstream. The role will take ownership of the financial accounting for the downstream business segment and a supervisory oversight of the P2P and O2C activities. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the postholder’s key responsibilities will include but not limited to: Work in close partnership with the offshore team to ensure timely review and close of: Month end accounts payable ledgers, Month end accounts receivable ledgers, Month end bank account reconciliations, Intercompany account reconciliations, Prepayment account reconciliations, Support review and analysis of monthly cost accruals Support preparation of monthly reporting packs and understand key underlying business trends to support continuous financial and operational improvement, Support timely VAT return submission and payment requests Support the Sales director to prepare budgets and forecasts, Support the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors, Creation of business partner accounts To actively participate in driving forward best practice and to provide support and encouragement to the members of the offshore team, Other ad-hoc finance related duties Person Specification & Qualifications: Newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 3 years’ experience Experience in Financial Accounting activities preferable Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel Strong system skills, experience in SAP B1 is desirable.
