Role and Responsibilities:
We are currently collaborating with a forward-thinking mainstream Primary School with an on-site provision dedicated to serving children with complex and additional needs. This presents a unique chance to gain insight into the future of Specialist provisions within mainstream settings and their operational frameworks.
The school runs a 15-week SEMH program with the goal of retaining students in a mainstream setting rather than moving into a specialist provision. The role will involve working with small groups of students and on a 1:1 basis either within the provision or the classroom.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a desire to support children who have had a challenging start to life. Experience supporting students with complex needs is a must. The ability to engage in a positive manner and de-escalate children is crucial to success in this role.
The school will provide support and further training; however, a strong background in similar work is needed.
