We have an exciting opportunity for an Emergency & Urgent Care Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B prison located near Bicester. HMP Bullingdon is a male prison with an operational capacity of around 1,100.
This exciting new role as an Emergency and Urgent Care Practitioner would suit a qualified Paramedic or Emergency Care Nurse, as you will be responding to emergency and urgent care situations. You might have worked as a Paramedic, in Primary Care, or in A&E, delivering emergency and urgent care.
The site currently offers a variety of shift patterns, including 07:30 - 17:30, 07:30 - 19:30, night shifts, and weekends/bank holidays.
This position is full time, and you will receive an annual salary of up to £47,250 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As our new Emergency and Urgent Care Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's care.
* Work as part of a team of primary care nurses, delivering care to patients both within the healthcare centre and on the wings/blocks.
* Thrive on a challenge to provide high-quality emergency care and minor injury treatment to patients in both primary care and acute care needs in a prison setting.
* Perform procedures such as suturing, IV access, haemorrhage control, wound care, and cardiac & CVA intervention.

Job responsibilities
Our new Emergency & Urgent Care Practitioner will:
* Be a qualified Paramedic or Nurse - RGN, Primary Care Nurse, A&E Nurse.
* Have professional registration - NMC or HCPC.
* Proven experience in either: Accident and Emergency, primary care environments, or minor injuries/illness.
* Non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
* Be flexible with shifts and hours worked.
* Ideally, have experience within a hospital, community, or prison environment.
