Role: Principal Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Durham (hybrid)
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum depending on experience + car allowance
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Are you a Principal Mechanical Engineer with experience working on clean and/or waste water projects?
My client, a very successful design & build contractor on multiple Water frameworks in the UK, is looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to design clean and waste water, infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects attached to the Northumbrian Water framework.
You will be involved in the whole design process, from feasibility and optioneering, to detailed design, through to commissioning.
You will determine the best solutions for pumping stations, treatment works, mechanical screening, chemical dosing systems and sludge handling systems.
This is a hybrid role meaning your time will be split equally between my client's office in Durham; however, applications from other UK areas will be considered as my client has many offices across the UK.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Have experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the Water sector, specifically having worked on AMP projects attached to a UK Water utility company.
2. Be degree qualified.
In return, my client offers excellent career progression and security into AMP8, car allowance, 24 days' annual leave + bank holidays, as well as a competitive salary.
Apply today and if successful, I will be in touch. You can contact me at libby.horner@carringtonwest.com / 02394 314919.
Due to the volume of applicants, we may only be able to respond to applicants who are to be progressed to the next stage. If you do not hear from us, unfortunately it means your application hasn't been successful.
