SITE ENGINEER – ENVIRONMENT
SEVERN TRENT REGION
What you will be doing:
Join Galliford Try’s Environment Business as a Site Engineer, ideally based in or around Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire, with travel across multiple sites/projects in the region.
Work on Severn Trent Water Frameworks, delivering schemes mainly in the Water Industry, including Treatment Waste and Water schemes.
Your role involves providing setting out/engineering control on site.
You will:
* Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities, providing information to operatives and subcontractors.
* Complete diary sheets with photographic evidence as required.
* Undertake material reconciliations.
* Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated.
* Carry out as-built surveys and produce drawings.
* Assist in maintaining quality records and ensure works comply with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
* Support basic planning, monitoring, and programming.
* Mentor junior and graduate engineers as needed.
* Control and minimize waste on site.
* Identify and help introduce new processes, techniques, and innovations.
* Secure and care for company property.
* Participate in creating a safe working environment.
About You:
Competency Requirements:
* Ability to read and interpret data and drawings.
* Confidence with standard setting out techniques; knowledge of GPS preferred.
* Flexible attitude to work.
* Awareness of health and safety responsibilities and adherence to policies.
Technical/Professional Qualifications:
* Knowledge of one functional area through experience or training.
* SMSTS certification.
* Relevant experience or transferable skills.
* A Level/Higher or equivalent.
