Our team in London currently has an opening for a Works Supervisor - London
As the Works Supervisor, it will be your responsibility to:
1. Lead Shift Supervisor Team.
2. Plan and deliver daily programme of work in liaison with the Operations manager.
3. Ensure the sampling of incoming products to maintain quality control against specification.
4. A working Supervisor position therefore will be required to complete work during the shift as delegated and necessary.
5. Process monitoring & control including laboratory analysis, completion of shift handovers including handover log, plant start-up & shutdown.
6. Receipt and dispatch of bulk chemicals.
7. Act as Site Incident Controller in the event of an on-site or off-site chemical incident until Site Management are in attendance.
8. Assist Site Managers in safe isolation of plant/process for maintenance tasks and with process fault finding and cause analysis
9. Reporting all process breakdowns/maintenance issues efficiently & concisely.
10. General duties on plant including housekeeping, filter changes, and assisting/coaching Yard Operators both filling and loading.
11. Any reasonable duty, within the post holders capability & training, as specified by the site Management Team.
12. Maintain records to comply with company procedures including basic use of M4 stock and transport applications.
13. Proactively maintain all aspects of health, safety and environmental policies and practices.
14. Contribute to labour planning and rostering.
15. Proactive approach to near miss reporting from within all shifts
YOUR PROFILE
Skills & Experience:
16. FLT license (essential) (Reach & Counterbalance).
17. Chemical background (desirable)
18. Able to demonstrate strong leadership skills coupled with the ability to respond effectively to ever changing priorities and demands.
19. Have a reasonable written ability and be computer literate as will be expected to use various IT packages within this role.
