East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust has hospitals in sunny seaside towns that provide radiological services to a large catchment area and we are only an approx. 45 minute train ride to Brighton and 1.5 hour train ride to London.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with good clinical standards and interpersonal skills, who would like to join our friendly team in the Sussex region. Previous UK experience and/or experience of a Radiology Department within East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust will be an advantage.
Our commitment to expand our services continues and we have recently installed:
1. Siemens Symbiat16 SPECT-CT
2. Siemens Luminos and Siemens Artis ZEE multipurpose C-arm
3. State of the Art Siemens Artis Interventional suite
4. Full Field Digital Radiographic (FFDR) mammography suite
5. New CT scanning suite with GE Revolution Evo and GE Revolution CT scanners
6. New MRI Scanning Suite with Siemens Magnetom Aera 24 and Aera 48
As part of our commitment to CPD training, the successful candidate will rotate through the other modalities in order to develop their radiographic knowledge. We can offer sponsorship opportunities with staff currently undertaking sponsorship in Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and Reporting.
We are a training centre for student Radiographers and therefore you will have the opportunity to become a mentor as well as expected to participate fully in their training whilst maintaining professional standards at all times.
Working in rotation through all aspects of general radiography, you must be able to participate in the on-call or shift rotas in order to provide a 24-hour radiographic service throughout the year.
UK Registration with the Health Professions Council as a Diagnostic Radiographer must be obtained prior to commencement of employment.
We are proud to provide ‘Outstanding’ care and be a great place to work.
We provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to half a million people living or visiting East Sussex. We are one of the largest organisations in East Sussex, the only integrated provider of acute and community care in Sussex. Our extensive services are provided by 7000+ members of staff working from acute hospitals in Hastings and Eastbourne, three community hospitals in Bexhill, Rye and Uckfield, over 100 community sites, and in people’s own homes.
In 2020 the Care Quality Commission rated us as ‘Good’ overall, and ‘Outstanding’ for being caring and effective. The Conquest Hospital and our Community Services are rated ‘Outstanding’. Eastbourne DGH rated ‘Good’.
In 2020, the Trust launched its ambitious ‘Building for our Future’ programme. This once in a lifetime programme aims to repair, redevelop and expand our hospitals, transforming the environment in which we provide care for generations to come.
