We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a busy school. This is a part- time temporary role, and would be ideal for someone looking for a second job, or to fit around their busy life schedule. There is flexibility as to how the hours are spread throughout the week (10-12 hours a week). The duties of Bookkeeper will include: Sales invoices – Liaise with other staff on the generation and distribution of sales invoices via the school management information system which links into Sage Sales ledger management – entries and account set-up and updates Credit control – ensure regular emailing of statements and flagging up accounts for further action Purchase order – manage the purchase ordering system Purchase ledger management – entries and account set-up and updates Purchase ledger payment runs Cash book entries and bank reconciliation Tracking and reconciling company credit card spend and petty cash Skills required: Demonstrable experience of bookkeeping in previous roles Prior experience of Sage accounting software Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word Must be able to manage and prioritise workload efficiently and effectively The role is available immediately, there is free on-site parking available, and lunch included also from the school canteen.
