About the job Reporting to the Company Accountant you will be responsible for and assisting with the following duties... Processing a high volume of supplier and subcontractor invoices Reconciling statements and preparing spreadsheets for supplier and subcontractor payment runs Communication with our suppliers/customers and internal management to resolve queries Preparing and submitting VAT returns, RCT Returns, PAYE Returns Carrying out bank reconciliations Maintaining the fixed asset register and HP/Leasing schedules Posting of depreciation, accruals, prepayments Posting sales invoice and intercompany invoices Allocating customer payments on accounts Assisting the accountant in preparing monthly contract P&Ls Assisting with the preparation of internal management reports Undertaking in depth reviews of costs to ensure the company purchasing policy is adhered to Taking accounts to Trial Balance stage for the company accountant Assisting the accountant with annual audit Working to monthly deadlines Any other duties that may be required What youll need to succeed: A minimum of 2 years experience within a fast-paced finance department IATI qualified or part qualified accountant desirable but not essential Strong skills in the use of Microsoft Excel and Sage Ability to resolve queries and use initiative Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills Demonstrable experience of working with high volume data and transactions and strong level of accuracy and attention to detail Demonstrate the ability to work to deadlines with excellent time management skills Experience in the construction sector an advantage Strong IT skills For further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your career get in touch with Daryl Hunter at HireIQ in complete confidence.
