The Maternity Department at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, rated as Good in all areas (CQC, September 2021), is looking for motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Midwives to join their Maternity Team. Main duties of the job
Approximately 2500 babies are born each year at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. We offer women personalised care and choice of home birth, midwifery-led care, and multi-disciplinary care on our Labour Ward. We are passionate about delivering safe, high-quality services to the women and families accessing our care.

* Educated to Diploma/Degree level or equivalent
* Completed Preceptorship programme or equivalent
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
* Documented evidence of continued appropriate studies
* Practice Supervisor Training completed
* Certificate of Competency for IV Cannulation
* Certificate of Competency for IV Additives & Administration
* Certificate of Competency for Perineal Suturing
Desirable
* Further relevant development to postgraduate certificate or equivalent.
* Neonatal examination of the new-born certificate or equivalent.
Experience
Essential
* Post-registration experience as a practising midwife having gained knowledge in all aspects of the pregnancy, birth, and postnatal period.
