Renold Gears Ltd The team are looking for Apprentices to join its Engineering department to learn various roles: manual turner - turning work on manual machines, gear cutting - a process very specific to Renold Gears and assembly fitter - Would be part of a team that assemble gear boxes.

Days and shifts TBC. Total hours per week: 37.00 Shifts include: Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4pm, Friday - 7.30am - 12.30pm. Start and finish times would be RTAs for the first 4-6 months 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Duties include:
* Machinst - Working on manual machines, this is a very busy area of manufacturing and a skill the company needs for continuity and future growth
* Gear cutting - a process very specific to Renold Gears involving cutting the teeth of the worm & Helical wheels. Machines are specific to this industry and there is a lot of technical aspects to how the gears are produced. Machines are a mixture of manual and CNC
* Assembly Fitter - Would be part of a team that assembles gearboxes. These can range from standard gearboxes to bespoke units that are complex and unique builds
