We are a catalyst for spaces of encounter and renewal with Jesus. We guide and influence a national agenda for prayer, mission and justice. Our hope and strategies aim to stir a prayerful awakening in Great Britain through increased engagement with key 24-7 Prayer ministries: Prayer Rooms, Prayer Spaces in Schools and Youth and Student provision. Role Overview This role will serve and lead the work in the northern England region on behalf of 24-7 Prayer, responsible for implementing strategy to serve the church regionally and locally in the three key 24-7 Prayer ministries listed above. This role identifies key churches and ministries to serve in the region, creating a growth plan for the area. Key Responsibilities Regional Strategy: Develop and implement a regional strategy to grow and develop Prayer Rooms, Prayer Spaces in Schools and Youth and Student provision in the northern England area Identify and curate relationships with key churches, leaders and networks in northern England, introducing them to 24-7 Prayer and discerning how best to serve Design and implement a volunteer strategy to create a team of volunteers who will represent 24-7 Prayer. Examples of these volunteers include speakers and Prayer Spaces in Schools Networkers Manage reporting and budgets for strategy implementation Speak at events and conferences on behalf of 24-7 Prayer Team Collaboration Work with wider team to help ensure that 24-7 Prayer resources, communications, and social media accounts serve the nation and regions well Collaborate with the GB team to ensure all work is delivered in prayer, to a high standard and aiming toward shared goals Serve the wider movement in line with your skills and in agreement with your line manager Key Requirements and Skills: Experience and Knowledge Strong and thorough understanding of the church culture in the region, with reference to theological differences, priorities, needs, and cross-denominational relationships Understanding of the particular needs, challenges, and suitable approaches to support Gen Alpha and Gen Z Strong understanding of safeguarding best practices and compliance Proven record of negotiating partnerships (at a national level desirable) Leadership of a volunteer group or program with creation of a team that collaborates well with each other Public speaking to a variety of group sizes and environments Customer service support or similar, representing an organisation and responding to enquiries from the general public Project delivery of events and/or resources Theological training desirable Skills and Abilities Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence with the ability to establish and maintain healthy and positive working relationships within the team and with external partners Strong organisational and strategic skills, with the ability to execute multiple projects, priorities and deadlines methodically, effectively and efficiently Strong, clear and engaging written and verbal communication skills Highly motivated to see growth and development, and confident in taking initiative and being innovative Practical Considerations DBS/Police Check Ability to travel Weekend and evening working hours as required There is an occupational requirement for the postholder to be a practising Christian who maintains a living relationship with God and lives consistently according to biblical principles All staff are expected to live out 24-7 Prayer’s values as they represent 24-7 Prayer externally All post-holders are expected to fulfil their personal objectives set by their line manager, contribute to their team’s overall objectives, take responsibility for reviewing their ongoing personal development and maintain an awareness of the global 24-7 Prayer movement strategy All 24-7 Prayer staff share responsibility to promote and maintain a strong safeguarding culture, including the key actions they should take given their role and responsibilities For more information, please view the attached job description.
