1. To work in conjunction with clinical pharmacists and other medicines management technicians todeliver ward based pharmacy services within a delegated area of responsibility.2.To support the development and progress of clinical pharmacy services.3. To contribute to the patient safety agenda and clinical governance through medicinesmanagement.4. To support the cost effective and efficient medicines management services to wards and patients.5.To act as a key link between wards and the pharmacy department, integrating within the trustsmulti-disciplinary team.6. To label, dispense and accuracy check clinically screened prescriptions for both inpatients and forpatients being discharged.7. To participate in the general running of the department undertaking the full range of duties of apharmacy technician.

All band 4 technicians are required to complete our in-house educational, training and development plan, which will equip our staff with the skills, behaviours and knowledge in preparation for future pharmacy career progression.
Applicants should hold Level 3 BTEC / NVQ Pharmacy Services certificate or equivalent, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician. Ideally, should hold an Accredited Checking Qualification (ACPT) or be willing to work towards.
