Project Manager - Electrical Mechanical Pipeline (MEP) Engineering - Data Centres
My well established multinational technology company is urgently looking for a Project Manager to join their MEP Engineering team on a 12-18 month contract as they construct a new data centre in the UK.
You will play a key role in delivery of a large data centre in the UK for a global IT search engine and contribute to a large scale project as a whole providing project management leadership to both internal and external contractors
The mission of the Project Manager is to ensure that the installation of our client's Modules by the client's subcontractors goes smoothly and on schedule. This involves the effective planning, organization and coordination of all project-related activities. Its main objective is to ensure that the project achieves its objectives on time, on budget and according to the defined specifications.
YOU MUST HAVE WORKED ON DATA CENTRE CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE
Key Duties
Project planning: Development of schedules, definition of objectives and deliverables, identification and forecasting of necessary resources (material and human).
Coordination of activities: Ensure communication between the different teams and stakeholders, ensuring that everyone understands their role and responsibilities. Organize work to meet deadlines.
Budget monitoring: Managing project costs, tracking expenses and respecting budget limits. Management of supplements: valuation and presentation to the customer.
Reporting and documentation: Preparation of regular reports on the progress of the project, documentation of decisions made and problems encountered
Participation in daily and weekly meetings with the client, the General Contractor.
Risk management: Proactive identification of risks and implementation of mitigation plans.
Problem Solving: Dealing with problems that arise during the project and finding effective solutions. Essential Skills
Diploma in electromechanical industrial engineering
You already have experience in data centre project assembly/equipment installation
Time management: Managing a client involves prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines and optimizing efficiency.
Adaptability and Decision Making: Ability to adapt to changes and adjust plans accordingly. Must be able to react quickly in the event of a problem.
Leadership: Ability to motivate and guide the project team without necessarily having formal hierarchical authority over all members.
Team spirit: Internal collaboration is often necessary. The Project Manager must work in close collaboration with the teams in Belgium and the subcontractors on siteDesirable
French SpeakingFull training will be given on the exact modules you will be working on by our client. This training will take place in Belgium at our clients site and will be full expensed. This could last up to 3 months, Once trained you will then be working with a project team in the UK
