The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing essential clerical and administrative support. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. You will receive training and mentorship throughout your apprenticeship, helping you to develop a wide range of skills in business administration.

Hybrid (Minimum of 3 days a week at our Retford location)

Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
1. Maintaining effective communication through phone etiquette, responding to enquiries and directing calls appropriately
2. Being the first point of contact for visitors to the office, providing a welcoming, efficient reception service (when onsite)
3. Providing refreshments to visitors when required
4. Handling data entry tasks into Xero Accounting Software with accuracy and attention to detail
5. Utilising Google Suite for document creation and spreadsheets
6. Managing office supplies and ensuring the office environment is well-organised
7. Collaborating with other departments to facilitate smooth operations within the organisation
8. Working with suppliers to prepare quotations for clients
9. Using Adobe InDesign to create various documents
10. Placing purchase orders for all areas of the business
11. Ensuring print orders are placed on-time to meet deadlines
12. Creating and processing customer invoices
13. Managing the office Trello boards
To be considered, the successful candidate should have:
1. High levels of attention to detail with a focus on data entry and accuracy
2. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
3. Demonstrated phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills
4. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
5. Familiarity with general office procedures and administrative practices
6. Experience of or willingness to learn administrative skills in a professional office
7. Core GCSE’s in Maths and English
