Supporting the Operations Manager, you’ll be taking responsibility for the day-to-day service delivery of the Radfield Home Care service in York, driving success and growth by promoting the right working environment, maintaining standards and ensuring quality.
In simple terms you’ll be making sure that our care professionals get the support they need and our clients get the care that’s right for them.
You love the challenge of a busy working environment where no two days are ever the same. You’re a people person, with experience of recruiting, managing and developing a team and previous experience working for a home care provider is preferable.
We’d also love to hear from you if you’ve got previous care experience in roles such as care home manager, care coordinator, deputy manager, field care supervisor, and care manager
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
Manage Office Team: manage the office team of care coordinators and supervisors day-to-day in order to ensure they are delivering a high quality care provision
Supervise and Support Care Staff: Provide guidance to care workers, ensuring adherence to best practices and care plans.
Scheduling and Rotas: Assist in managing staff rotas to maintain adequate coverage for client needs.
Client Visits: Conduct client visits to monitor service quality and gather feedback.
New Services: Support the development, mobilisation and provision of new care services
On Call: Play an integral part of the On Call service, providing support outside of office hours
Operational Planning: working with the Operations Manager and General Manager to influence plans and strategy for future compliance, growth and direction.
Care Planning
Assessment and Review: Help conduct assessments for new clients, develop personalised care plans, and perform regular reviews.
Plan Updates: Ensure client care plans are current and accurately reflect any changes in health or circumstances.
Regulatory Compliance
Policies and Procedures: Ensure all staff comply with organisational policies, safeguarding protocols and CQC regulations.
Health and Safety: Oversee compliance with health and safety protocols to protect clients and staff.
HR and Professional Boundaries: ensure the service meets basic HR protocols and professional boundaries (both client and care professional) are strictly adhered to
Recruitment, Onboarding and Training
Care Professional Recruitment: Working with the recruitment team to ensure there is consistent recruitment of high quality Care Professionals to maintain and grow a safe service
Organise Staff Training: Coordinate and deliver training that ensures all team members maintain sufficient training qualifications
Performance Monitoring: Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.
Communication and Liaison
Point of Contact: Serve as a contact for clients’ families and healthcare professionals, fostering clear communication regarding client care.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate client records and incident reports, ensuring confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
Crisis and Complaint Management
Incident Response: Manage emergencies and assist staff in handling challenging situations effectively.
Address Complaints: Investigate and resolve complaints, focusing on continuous quality improvement.
