We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical bias to join the Engineering function at our Ossett Production Facility. In this role you will provide full technical engineering support to the Production function under the leadership of the Engineering Maintenance Manager. These are permanent, full time positions operating on a 24/7 shift pattern, so flexibility of working hours is required
What will I be doing?
The successful candidates will assume responsibility for the integrity and correct functioning of equipment by carrying out the following:
1. Effective planned maintenance inspections, reviewing frequencies and parts used.
2. Recommend improvements to maintenance schedules; carry out safety checks on equipment in line with legislation and best practice
3. Overhaul and repair of plant; continually monitor plant conditions and report defects
4. Complete stores requisitions for parts and contract services
5. Perform in depth RCA for breakdowns and process failure
6. Help generate and maintain compliance to SOPs/ Risk Assessments. Carry out work in a standardised way
7. Report plant performance using appropriate company systems and ensure action on/communication of non-conformance issues
8. Ensure operational key information is effectively communicated to colleagues and other shift teams; complete any relevant documentation on time and in full
9. Support site services as required
What qualifications, skills and experience will I need?
To be successful in this role we are looking for the right behaviours and competencies as well as a proven track in a similar position. The ideal candidate will ideally have the following:
10. Time served apprenticeship or a formal engineering qualification to at least City & Guilds level, NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a electrical discipline with corresponding practical experience
11. Continuous improvement experience
12. RCA
13. PLC automation skills would be highly beneficial but are not essential
14. Training experience
15. Championing of good engineering standards
16. Must be a team player with a strong sense of personal responsibility/ownership
17. Flexibility around working hours
