DUTIES COMPRISE Offer personal care to residents in a respectful, dignified and non judgmental manner using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment if required and participate in training relevant to this. Support residents in accessing and participating in community based activities such as Adult education classes, social events, sports groups etc Participating in sleeping-in duty, waking night duties, and work at evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required. Responsibility for the ongoing management of the establishment in the absence of supervisory staff. Appreciate, understand and have knowledge of different ethnic needs, and ensure that they are met and encourage clients similarly. Undertaking supervised key worker duties with clients, family and other workers as appropriate. Participate in the development, monitoring and updating of Individual Plans for key residents. Performing administrative/clerical duties as required which includes the safe handling and recording of money. Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Councils Health and Safety policy and relevant Health and Safety legislation. To use and assist others to use information technology systems to carry out duties in the most efficient and effective manner. To achieve service outcomes and outputs, and personal appraisal targets, as agreed with your line manager. To adhere to the Code of Conduct of the General Social Care Council. To undertake relevant training and development, including meetings, supervision, seminars and other events. To be committed to the Council’s core values of public service, quality and equality. At all times carrying out responsibilities and duties in accordance with all relevant legislation, codes of practice and Council policies and procedures. To undertake additional duties commensurate with the grade as directed by your line manger. REQUIREMENTS At Least 6 months experience working with Adults with Learning diabilities and hold NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
