Manufacturing Process Engineer Location: Portsmouth, UK Rate: £36 - £40ph (Umbrella) Morson is currently recruiting on behalf of our Aerospace Manufacturing client, seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process / Support Engineer to join their Portsmouth Manufacturing Engineering team. This role will support the production of aerospace components, ensuring efficient manufacturing and assembly processes. Key Responsibilities: Create and publish digital work instructions in the MES system to guide production. Act as first-line support for manufacturing and assembly operations. Assign Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) to BOM hardware and integrate design data. Monitor and improve manufacturing processes using Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodologies. Provide technical support to production teams and escalate issues when required. Investigate and resolve operational non-conformances. Develop rework instructions, deviation plans, and process modifications. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and efficiency. Participate in project meetings and contribute to lessons learned. Key Focus Areas: Assembly and manufacturing work instructions Process improvements and issue resolution Production support and quality assurance Requirements: Experience in manufacturing, assembly, integration & test, ideally in aerospace industry. Strong understanding of MES systems, BOM structures, and work instructions. Problem-solving skills with experience in process optimization & non-conformance management. Ability to work closely with production teams to resolve technical issues effectively.
