Responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has come available to be part of our organisation for our Caledonia Care Home. This is an opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of registered Care Home Manager within our Nursing and Care Home within Saltcoates. You will join the organisation at an exciting time of growth. You will report to the Area Manager with a dotted line to our Care Director and be supported by a strong Operations Team. You will be responsible for the delivery of business performance and quality targets for the home, providing support and leadership to the staff, creating a culture of resident focus and quality of service, while establishing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
This role offers:
1. Salary & Perks: £62,000 - £68,000 per annum depending on experience
2. Annual Performance Related Bonus: (Discretionary)
3. Hours of Work: 40 hrs/week
In addition you will:
1. Oversee / maintain the care of residents within the Care Home.
2. Manage budgets, ensuring the home remains profitable by securing more private clients.
3. Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Care Home.
4. Provide leadership to the administration, care, catering, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance functions of the Care Home.
5. Maintain care and management skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may be required to maintain best practice.
6. Manage the services within the Care Home in accordance with standards agreed, legislative requirements, relevant regulations, and within the financial plans agreed with the Registered Provider.
7. Take responsibility for unannounced night visits to the care home and reporting findings.
8. Knowledge of HR, investigations and disciplinaries.
9. Able to commit to being on-call for the home.
Qualifications and Skills
You will be passionate about delivering outstanding care to our residents in a dignified and safe manner. You will have proven ability to lead and motivate a team, and be well organised and an exceptional communicator. Other skills and experience will include:
1. A good working knowledge of the relevant policies, procedures & legislation relating to adult social care.
2. Previous experience of managing a large care home.
3. Registered Nurse with current NMC Registered Pin.
4. Good understanding of P&L structure and budget management.
5. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
6. Satisfactory PVG check and check against the POVA List (where applicable).
