The role of the Information Support Assistant is to support the IM team, utilising various information management tools. The post holder focuses on working with personnel across the unit to encourage adoption of KIM ways of working whilst capturing user requirements in order to enhance information exploitation activities. Compliance with directives and policy as well as conducting training for users is required to support the unit to work with information more effectively.
As an iHUB Information Support Assistant you will:
Act as first point of contact within the iHUB for dealing with all users in a professional manner. Give first line support to users, troubleshoot for MS Office applications, accounts and hardware issues. Provide training as required.
Act as Local Security Officer (LSO) and Authorised Demander (AD). This includes account management, procurement of peripherals, software requests and hardware management.
Act as Site Administrator for all SharePoint sites, amending and designing layouts, document libraries, lists and file structure in line with policy and user requirements. Identify and propose improvements to ways of working.
Carry out rigorous permission management across all SharePoint sites utilising Active Directory groups. Conduct regular permission reviews to ensure information assurance compliance.
