If you like what you hear, then we'd love you to apply We are recruiting for a Finance Optimisation Analyst to join our finance team working in the Courier Pay Strategy, you will support the Senior Finance Manager to drive out cost efficiencies and optimisation through the Final Mile Network (Delivery Units and Courier Pay) as part of the Courier Pay Strategy Programme. You will bring a highly analytical approach to a complex / data heavy area, recommending areas for improvement and package them up into deployable plans. You will be accountable for: Partnering Courier Pay Strategy You will work with key stakeholders across the operation, project, data and property teams, to build and maintain key target models. These models set the targets for each part of the final mile network, and provide an optimum cost to serve ambition; Analysing the regions and the pay models, you will provide clear recommendations to the operations team and support the creating of deployment plans. These plans will land material cost-saving benefits into the network; Ability to visualise and bring the network to life, and provide benchmarking across regions; Learn from the field team on what matters and what drives costs, so these can be incorporated into the models; Provide guidance and thought leadership to the Data team, so they can model the changes required to optimise costs. You will be responsible for either Strategy for Every Region or Pay Model Targeting: Strategy for Every Region Create a regional cost to serve model, which enables Evri to understand the costs and efficiencies of each Delivery Unit Area in the country; Maintain the model, so it remains up to date and usable for all key strategy and tactical decision making required; Using this model, target specific areas for improvement and optimisation, which may include changing, moving or reducing Delivery Units, targeting the removal of expensive couriers or changing the service levels from Depot to end customer; Using the model, set the right space requirements within the Delivery Unit network for future growth of Evri, aligning with Hub and Depot infrastructure changes and volume projections; Assess, with the support of data science and geographical insights, the best location for each delivery unit to maximise service for the best cost; Liaise with the data team on optimisation opportunities, stress-testing these through the model and providing financial data to support business cases. Pay Model Targeting Evolve the Courier Pay Target Model, so that it accurately reflects the markets we operate in and the delivery methods we have. E.g. ESG routes, Solus, Red Routes, etc.; Financially evaluate the impact of changes in the model into the Courier network, to scenario evaluate launch impact and resultant financial changes; Quarterly, land model changes into the courier pay system to optimise the pay targets that need to be negotiated with core couriers or load in as cover rates; Support the creation of a dynamic cover rate model, to change in relation to supply of cover, seasonality and market dynamics; Take on new Final Mile models for both Delivery Unit Pay and Contractors, when these have been created. Advise and support the development of these models and future models to support the optimum pay for Final Mile service providers; To be successful you will have worked in an insights and analytical role, with experience of taking analysis into actions. Strong working knowledge of analytical methods, practices and techniques, including hypothesis framework approach to answering questions are essential. You will have the ability to manage a wide number of stakeholders, balancing time and impact effectively.
