The role
As an Electrical Controls and Instrumentation (EC&I) Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will work with highly specialised equipment in the Nuclear sector, operating in an exciting, highly-regulated and technically challenging environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll adhere to and sign completion of written operations on production planning, within an ISO 9001 quality system, including identifying any variances and notifying supervision for approval or further action.
1. Assemble and wire small electronic modules, boxes and units and electrical/electronic control and indication panels and cubicles.
2. Assemble and test analogue of PCBs (hand soldered through-hole PCB technology).
3. Test analogue of PCBs and electrical equipment to approved test documentation including collation of test results.
4. Peer check verification of test results.
This is a full-time, 37-hour per week roving role based in Heysham, Lancashire.
Essential experience of the EC&I Technician:
1. From the Nuclear Generation sector or another highly regulated industry.
2. Operated within an Electrical/Electronic role.
Qualifications for the EC&I Technician:
1. HNC level relevant in electrical/electronic modules.
