Job Description:
The General Medical Council is seeking a Research and Insight Analyst to join our Data, Research and Insight Hub. The role involves providing high-quality, timely, and accurate insights and analysis to inform policy, processes, and operational improvements within the GMC and for external stakeholders across the UK.
Your main responsibilities will include utilizing primary and secondary evidence sources related to healthcare professionals and the wider healthcare environment to produce insights into healthcare regulation and policy. This involves conducting research projects, analyzing datasets, gathering external information, sharing insights, and delivering reports and papers on health matters.
Experience in regulatory and public policy environments is advantageous. The role requires adaptability to meet the changing needs of the organization and the policy landscape. A good understanding of research management, horizon scanning, environmental analysis techniques, and experience within a policy and research team are desirable.
You will work within a small team of research and insight specialists, supporting activities such as producing publications, presentations, and papers for internal and external audiences to inform policy development and decision-making.
This is a hybrid role, requiring presence at the Manchester office at least once a week, currently on Tuesdays.
