Initio Learning Trust is looking for two Finance Business Partners to join our central team. These newly created roles present a fantastic opportunity to join our growing and thriving trust in a key position.
Operating centrally, with regular travel, you will support our 19 schools who are based in a range of locations throughout Dorset from Verwood in the East across to Bridport in the West.
Actual Salary £37,938 - £43,693 per annum per annum (Grade 11)
This job is {Full Time/ Part Time/ Part Time - Term Time Only:}, and is offered on a Permanent basis.
Approximate start date: As soon as possible
Responsibilities:
* Provide high quality strategic financial planning to ensure that the school/Trust makes the best possible use of resources and is able to provide the best outcomes for pupils.
* Maintain and monitor the efficient management of the designated schools’ budgets. Maximising income generation and supporting development of grant applications.
* Review monthly forecasts with school leaders to identify and understand variances, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken to maintain budget adherence.
Knowledge and skills:
* Working at School Business Manager level or equivalent.
* Good general knowledge of finance
* Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
* Experience of explaining financial matters to non-financial personnel.
* Experience of budget management and/or budget setting
* Strong working knowledge of school finances
* Strong ICT skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
